About the Author
Bruce Jenkins Jr.
Bruce Jenkins Jr. was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He has had an ear for music from a young age, knowing it was the direction he wanted to move in life. After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of Maryland, Bruce followed his passion and is now a successful and sought after voice & piano teacher. A true professional, his attention to detail and dedication to his craft resulted in being selected to perform at the National Cathedral in Washington DC, quickly followed by being asked to compose three songs for his alma mater’s chorus. Just Sing It is the culmination of his career to date and the high-water mark of achievement in what has become a lifetime of devotion to his craft. Each of the 19 songs within are built upon the foundations of education, from: Classroom Management and Culture to Social Emotional Learning (SEL). His book is for everyone associated with lower grade elementary school to explore and understand the situational and transformational power in verse and song. The true joy in Just Sing It comes from watching his students apply the lessons in the songs among themselves and each other. Bruce is a well-rounded man of varied interests. He loves traveling the world and sampling gourmet foods from those countries he visits. A true student, he explores a passing interest in cultural anthropology and loves learning to speak different languages. Bruce believes the key to a well-rounded existence is by exposing and challenging himself, and his students, to the rich diversity this world has to offer. Follow Bruce @
